To kick-start this blog and give you an insight into the redevelopment of the DNBC site, I’ve decided to showcase the recent Photosynth panoramas created over recent weeks.

Similar to 360 degree panoramas, ‘Synths’ are created by stitching together hundreds of images to create an immersive 3D experience. Click on the links below to see for yourself.

The first one involved the interior of Dumfries Museum: http://bit.ly/sRYQyO

Then I decided to do one of the Children’s Room in Burns House. You can really zoom in and see the items on display: http://bit.ly/tjDuXZ

The final one is the fabled Writers Room where Burns wrote some of his best work: http://bit.ly/vGDOem

How do you think these compare to traditional panoramas?

Where would you like to see Burns related Photosynths?
